On Thursday, Marketa Lazarová, regularly voted the greatest Czech language film of all time is introduced by critic and director of the Czech and Slovak Film Festival, Cerise Howard. This will be something special.
Then on Saturday we have a wealth of guests:
At 3PM Dr Tess Van Hemert expands on the first Brisbane Film Festival of 1966 as part of our free panel Fifty Years of Film Festivals – Remembering – BFF Presented in Association with the NFSA.
And at 7PM we have three directors introducing their films. Brisbane filmmaker Jaina Kalifa introduces his short Strudel Sisters, Chris Elena introduces the world premiere his short The Limited, and Australian filmmaking great Margot Nash, introduces her astonishing documentary, The Silences.
