QFF is proud to be partnering with the Institute of Modern Art to offer a FREE preview screening from our inaugural program!
The week before the festival, the IMA will host QFF’s screening of The Vanquishing of the Witch Baba Yaga (Jessica Oreck, 2014).
Titled after the Slavic tale of the Baba Yaga—a folkloric, forest-dwelling witch who feeds on the innocent—Oreck’s meditative, experimental documentary offers a powerful treatise on the collision of tradition and progress in post-war Eastern Europe.
The IMA has been a leading institution for the production, circulation, and generation of discourse on contemporary art for forty years. This screening is offered as part of the IMA’s regular series of public programs.
This FREE screening will take place Thursday 16th July in the IMA screening room.
The full program for QFF 2015 will be released shortly. Please subscribe to be notified as soon as tickets go on sale.
